Admittedly I'm not the best when it comes to grammar. BUT I know the difference between their, there and they're... Holy cow I just read a post in a FB dog breeding community where one of those versions was used multiple times in the few sentences and every time it was used wrong. And I think the posted was a native English speaker...

I divided my time between Pat and the poodle crew.
I wanted to get Jeff (Bev and Debra's handler) alone so I could talk to him about something Bev and I had talked about on Friday at the shop. Jeff doesn't have an assistant so if Debra can't go to a show to help him, he has to recruit someone at the show to help. Where beagles are east to do with one person. Getting a poodle (even a toy poodle) ready to show is a two person job. So Bev and I talked about me helping Jeff, especially when he travels.
Finally talk to Jeff and he's on board with it. YAY! He is a really sweet man with a wicked sense of humour and for the first time since I've known him, he let loose and I saw more than the twinkle in his eye and the dry witty comment, wow... lol
I'm not going to get paid. I really don't expect to. I want to help Jeff and learn. it's that cycle of Jeff is important to Bev and Bev is important to me... I told Bev today that I was excited about helping Jeff but I didn't want to step on Debra's toes. it's going to be a balancing act for sure.
And since I am talking about dogs, I will be handling a champion for a friend in the Philippines. the dog was here to earn his American Championship and I will be helping to finish his Grand Championship.

You know it's such a hardship having a husband who qualifies for top producer trip every year and forces us to go to Hawaii...
It's six days on Maui for a much needed break.

This is a what we used not as the recipe is printed kind of thing
Filling
3 raisin snack size boxes of cranraisins (soaked in water to hydrate)
a handful of golden raisins
a small package of pecans chopped into large
1cup of raw sugar
1 tsp orange peel (we determined later it could have used more)
No-Knead roll dough
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
3 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp cardamom
1tbs instant or bread machine yeast
In 1 qt measuring cup combine: milk, buttermilk, sugar, butter, salt. Microwave on high for 90 seconds whisk in eggs.
Mix flour, yeast and cardamom
Add milk mixture. Stir to combine. Beat 40ish strokes scraping bottom and sides until dough forms lumpy sticky mass. Cover with plastic, let rise in a warm place 2 hours and has a sponge like appearance
Transfer dough to flour surface. Work dough adding four as necessary, cut into 2 halves. (Note dough is very sticky. We used heavily floured surface and ended up kneading even though its supposedly a no knead recipe)
Roll 2 halves out to equal sizes, butter surface, spread filling mixture on one half then flip the other half over. Butter side to filling. Measure out strips, twist and form figure eights, allow to rest for 45 minutes
Bake at 350
20-35 minutes (ours were done in 20 ish)
Glaze
1 1/2 cup powered sugar,
1 tsp fresh grated orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice
Whisk and drizzle over
This is still a work in progress but this is the basics. :)

My #3 fandom by
Next year, I'm thinking about dipping my toes into this fandom. Maybe. Probably.: no clue whatever sparks my fancy, I wouldn't have said I'd be writing the top two if you'd have asked me last year...
The story that I wrote which got the most reviews/comments is: The Art of Seduction Through Peppermint Patties cowritten with
The story that was the most fun to write: probably the two big bangs
The story that was the hardest to write: the trekmas story which hasn't been revealed yet so I can't name it
The story that I would rewrite if I could: probably several, I'm horrible about nitpicking them
The story that I would unwrite if I could: there are probably several of those too
The story that I didn't write which I enjoyed reading the most: hard to say, my bookmarks on AO3 have grown quite a bit this year and I got back and read those over and over
Something I tried writing that was brand new to me: Hawaii Five-O and Avengers, lol
Other information about my writing I'd like to share: I'm a sucker for challenges and can be easily led astray
*orange slice candies (well okay that was an all year thing along with the mint leaves candies but I still think of them st Christmas)
*candlelight service and Rev. and Mrs Swinehart. (He's gone but I just spoke with Mrs last week and oh the memories it brought back)
*Opening one present on Christmas Eve.
It's always hard at Christmas for me, because we don't have the traditions that I had growing up and I miss my grandparents and those traditions.
Tomorrow we're spending the day with John's family which will be fun.
My downstairs is flooding....
Again...
:::sigh:::
This is getting really old. We caught it early so to speak but without carpeting moves faster and honestly, I'm done with ths. I have two loads of towels in the wash from sopping up water. And I've left the shop vac running on the in coming spot while I type this because if I walk away for five minutes its running water again...
Wish me luck to get it under control and stopped before bedtime

Since when did they stop putting the button on the fly of mens panama pants? or for that matter when did they actually put the fly hole back in them. My fuzzy Walgreens Snoopy pajama pants have an open fly and I can see myself doing some sewing soon to remedy this.
Being mostly unemployed means that I now have to go to all these things with John and dinners with clients etc... My schedule was never this busy before, what the hell happened?
And then there is the writing... I signed up for
